School Behaviour: the way we do things around here
This post is about new behaviour in schools. The governments lead for behaviour management has published a new report and guidance into what schools should be doing around the better management and creation of safe and effective learning environments. It links extremely well to our Behaviour Management training which emphasises consistent responses both procedurally and verbally to student behaviour
We particularly liked the following piece of advice:
“The key task for a school leader is to create a culture – usefully defined as ‘the way we do things around here’ – that is understood and subscribed to by the whole school community.”
