The physical side of managing behaviour
Managing behaviour in schools ideally means using professional and persuasive verbalisation skills but must also include the physical alternatives where words alone fail. We treat every child with dignity and show them respect but sometimes words alone are not enough and in order to create a safe and secure learning environment for all our children we may need to use the physical alternatives to achieve that aim. Here is some feedback on our Positive Handling course which was tailored for a group of behaviour management consultants and specialists recently:
“Having participated in 3 different training providers for positive handling in my career of working with children with challenging behaviour, this was the best in terms of meeting our needs and installing confidence in dealing with the physical side of managing behaviour. Many thanks.”
